"We have finally done it. You, the readers, have voted over the past six weeks and selected the best heavy metal album of all time out of a field of thirty-two of the top reviewed metal albums. This was a really fun experience with twist, turns, and upsets around every corner. The winner is pretty much who I expected, but I wanted to be sure. I started this tournament because I wanted to find the best way possible to get a consensus opinion on the best metal album ever and compile a top ten list. Going into this tournament, I had an idea of who I would pick as the best. My personal top album and list would have looked a little different, but this is not about my opinions.
